Besides, it contributes to the maintenance of eyesight and takes care of bones, teeth, skin, internal membranes and reproductive systems. It acts as an excellent antioxidant due to the presence of vitamin C in abundance.

Almost all the states of India cultivate chilli. The Indian Chilli-growing states are Andhra Pradesh (46%), Karnataka (15%), Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal, Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.
